Looking for some feedback on this lens

Cannon EF-S 55-250 mm F/4-5.6 IS. I've been researching it and the reviews are pretty positive, anyone using this lens and what do you think about? Thanks

I've *never* used this lens first hand, but here's the ISO charts compared to the 70-200 f4 IS.

http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/ISO-12233-Sample-Crops.aspx?Lens=456&Camera=452&Sample=0&FLIComp=0& APIComp=0&LensComp=404&CameraComp=9&SampleComp=0&F LI=1&API=0

Mouse over the charts to see the 70-200, I think you'll see a noticeable difference?

Wow, it didn't do too well in that comparison did it? (although their copy of the 70-200 f4L IS looks better then the Canon 200 f1.8 and half the other Canon primes when you pull up the comparisons.)

I can vouch for my copy, the f4 L IS, it's the sharpest lens I own.

when you're talking lenses in that price range you're bound to get a larger lens to lens variation - some good, some bad.
