With all these dogs posts, I figured I throw up some 4 week old puppy pictures. They are Miniature Australian Shepherds - more can be seen here - www.divineminis.com

By the way - I like floppy ears.

Great breed. When we were were showing our Tollers in ARBA we usually ended up hanging out with the Mini Aussie people. We even bought one for my in-laws, great dog.

Aussie sheps are cool dogs! hope you have some land to let those little buggers run!

something to look into if you have not already thought about it. Many places will allow you to bing your dog(s) in for herding exercises. Buddy had a aussie shep, and it is amazing what they have in their genes. Drop him in a field with some sheep and he goes to town!

Manzo - we do have a couple of acres, but we actually breed our dogs to be mellow family dogs. This is the difference in temperament you will see using "show" dog lines verses "working" dog lines. Our dogs will play frisbee until you can't throw it anymore, keep up on any walk/jog/hike I can do, and can be total couch potatoes. You are right about the herding instincts which is a reason why we are very selective on families with little kids that may want a puppy - If not trained and supervised correctly, a playful puppy may want to herd little kids running around in the backyard and flip them right on their butt.

Awesome Dave. did not realize you were the breeder! kinda like me preaching to the choir, no?

I have seen a bunch of people who get herding dogs and live in apts and wonder why their dog is insane all the time. Hmmmmmmm...

Awesome looking pups!

Here's a picture of my weiner. Marley was the cutest pup ever. Now he is a tough little guy.

My Shih Tzu Gaboo, he is not sure yet if he is a tough little guy or a baby. I love both personalities though.

And my grandpuppy C-dub, 3 years ago when he was just a pup. He now thinks he is a ShiH tzu too, and feels the need to be on a lap at all times. All 60 pounds of him.

Bassets are awesome! Planning to get one and name it Double Up, once we get into a place with a yard where he/she can be an outside dog.
