Stereo Install Follow-Up Question

I have been thinking about how to set up the stereo in my 2006 Supra 24 for a while. It has 6 stock kenwood interior speakers, 2 Roswell tower speakers (factory) and a 10" Kenwood sub (also factory) I decided that rather than trying to run 8 speakers off of 6 channels, I would just buy a third amp. Her is how I am planning on setting things up:
-(1) 4 channel 1000W amp to 4 of the interior speakers
-(1) 4 channel 1000W amp to the 2 tower speakers and 2 remaining interior speakers
-(1) 2 channel 1000W amp (bridged) to the sub.

I was planning on running 1/0 gauge wire to the distribution block and 4 gauge to each of the amps (same for the grounds). I have a dual battery set-up with a 120 amp alternator. This should work fine, right?

Why in the world would you want 1000 watts going to 4 cabin speakers? That is a waste of money. At least run the 6 cabin speakers off the 1 1000 watt amp. 1000 watts to 2 tower speakers is way overkill also. Unless you plan on adding at least 2 more it's also a waste of money. Spend this wasted money on a good Class D mono subwoofer amp.

When I bought the the boat it came with the 1000W amp. The amps I am talking about using are Kenwood X542's and a Kenwood X522. They are really not that expensive. The 4 channel amps are 88W per channel RMS and the 2 Channel is 165W per Channel RMS. I didn't want to spend a bunch of money. These amps were like $170 each on EBay. I know I could have gotten much better equipment and condensed the system a bit, but I am just looking for some decent sound. I don't know that much about stereos, but this seemed like a logical way to set it up. Can't I just keep the gains down from frying the speakers? I agree that it would be better to have a mono am for the sub.

You don't have to worry about those kenwoods frying your speakers. They won't put out 1000 watts rms.
