Hey guys, Im new here. Ive been wakeboarding for about 3 years on a juvi.Im 5'6 120lbs currently, but still growing. The board is too small for me so i need a new one.I tested out my friends balance 135 last year, when i was 5'4 100lbs and it felt like the right size, but i didnt like the feel of the board. I like to make "soul turns", tail presses, nose presses, and small airs(nothing too big).Maybe go a little bigger this year, but i only do stuff like grabs. My budget is probably around $400.Im currently looking at the Hyperlite Roam 139 because it seems like it would fit me best for my style of riding. Please confirm this as the right decision, or point me in another direction. Thanks in advance!

139 is a little big for you. Especially in the Roam. Hyperlite recomends it for riders 145lbs. and up. If you are spending $400 and don't need bindings you have a ton of choices. I'd say look at something in the 133-136 range. If you don need bindings www.wakeside.com has a good deal on a Liquid Force Omega with Alpha bindings for $400. No shipping, no tax and they give you 10% store credit on your total purchase. The Omega is a good intermediate board and the bindings are awesome!

I would look at the J-Star Lyman 136 I love the board, it got great pop, tracks well, has good speed, and gives you butter soft landings. Also another good deck is the Blindside Billy Mckee model in 136, has the same feel as the Lyman, but in a 3-stage, and maybe a little quicker. But ya i agree with Jeremy the 139 is to big for you right now, you wouldn't be able to really get it into the water being that light, and get the full performence of the board. If your still growing I'd go more to the 136 range as you'll be able to grow with the board, even though my buddy rides a 132 squirt and he's 6'1" and weighs 165, and goes huge.
