I just bought a pair of ronix rise boots, and my big toes are touching when I stand up straight (in the house). If I flex the boot, my toes don't touch anymore. So, is that a snug perfect fit or a too small fit?

I ordered them online and can't return them once I get them wet, so I'd love some input from someone who owns closed toed boots!

Thanks, Liz

its definitly going to be hard to tell if you've yet to actually RIDE the bindings, i would say if your toes aren't CRUNCHED inside the binding, and are just a snug fit, you should be okay..if not..see if you can resell them on ebay or something??

I can return them now, since I haven't ridden them yet:-)

No, my toes aren't crunched, my big toe is just touching. Is that normal??

I ride hyperlite murrays and all my toes are right up against the end. They are a perfect fit. Sounds like yours fit just right.

if its JUST your big toe, you should be fine, but if you ride them consistently and you lose feeling in your feet, i'd probably go with something alittle bigger..

Most open toed binding stretch after you've ridden them a while, is it the same with closed toed?

Hey Liz,

I have the Ronix Ones and had the same fear when I first got them. Just make sure you use the toe cap when they heat the boots. I don't even notice anymore.

Air Again,

what is the toe cap? I couldn't find them in any local shop, so I'm not sure I'll be able to have them heated.

Yep touch a little bit, and use the toe caps while heating. It does not seem normal, but the advice is correct, I listened to the WSA pro shop team and have been very happy.

ok, thanks! but, what are the toe caps?

Liz,

The toe caps are a plastic piece that the shop should have to put over your toes to create a little more space when they heat the boots. I am willing to bet that a good ski shop that handles snowboard boots would have them as well. Best bet would be to go to a local shop that handles Ronix and have them do it.
