for some reason my computer will not recognize any RAW pictures i take with my camera. i have a brand new Sony Alpha and i took a couple pics in RAW and when i went to put them on my computer Light Room said i didn't have any pictures on my camera. Anyone know what the problem might be?

Weird. Sounds like an ACR issue, but if you're using Lightroom then you should already be pretty up to date. Are you transferring the photos onto your hard drive before you try to import them into Lightroom, or are you trying to import them directly from the camera?

Regardless, I'd update your ACR just in case that's the issue... http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/cameraraw.html

Adobe has to add for support for new cameras, I would update as Scott suggested and then if it still won't recognize them check and make support has been added by checking their supported cameras list.
