HS 360 to blind???

In "Welcome" Shaun Murray lands a hs 360 and lands it wrapped, is it then called a hs 360 to blind?

I think landing "wrapped" simply means one does a trick which would typically involve a handle pass, only they do not pass the handle and land with the rope "wrapped" around them instead......I think "blind" refers to the direction of the spin. For a HS FS 360, you would look over your lead shoulder so that your lead shoulder and head turn away from the back of the boat while your rear shoulder moves towards the back of the boat when the rotation begins. On a HS BS 360, you turn your head to look over your rear shoulder so your head and rear shoulder turn away from the back of the boat and your front shoulder moves towards the back of the boat as the rotation begins. One could land either one of those tricks "wrapped" if they did not pass the handle during the rotation.

Blind can refer to the landing too. But if it were heelside, it would be a blind 180 (Backside) if the handle was not passed, or a Blind 5 if the handle was not passed for the last 180. Not a 3. It could have been called a blindside 3. But "Blindside/backside" only refers to the direction you rotate.

I've seen guys do a hs fs 3 and land with the rope wrapped along the "wrong" side. The rope is actually partially going around your front hip. Think of doing a frontside 3 but don't let go with your right hand after the spin (regular footed rider).

i believe the 3 shaun lands in welcome is a ts 3, thus easy to land wrapped.

funny, i was just thinking as i was driving back from the lake this morning that it would be cool to do a fs 3 to bs180 landing - a rewind 3. im sure it's been done but i've never seen it.

No, shaun does actually a switch hs/fs 3 and lands wrapped. lots of people are landing wrapped on both hs and ts edges. landing wrapped on an hs edge looks and feels much weirder than wrapped on a ts edge, because you have to edge against the way the rope is pulling you and its harder to balance. but yes, its very possible and more and more people are sticking landings this way
