just came across this site which has some pretty good shots of the lakes.....except for the fact they are documenting the low water levels.

this is from a couple of weeks ago. Shasta is really low right now. not sure if the rain they have been getting up there the last several days has helped with the levels any.

WOW theres some great pics on that site. Never been to Oroville but it looks allot like Shasta.

Oh BTW, Shasta has come up close to 6' in the last 5 days. Last year it started dropping in early April and its still rising now.

Shasta was on its way down prior to that last little storm... still, we are about 10' ahead of last years high and a few weeks further into the year. Additionally they have allocated a lot less water to the farmers this year. It will be LOW by the end of summer, but probably not as bad as last year...
I MEAN, it will be terrible, STAY AWAY. TREES AND ROCKS EVERYWHERE!!! ;-)
