This is the shot right before I got drenched. The rider, Cody, almost landed outside the pool but landed just inside it and cut hard to avoid falling out. As for me... well.. see for yourself.

actually, it wasn't in the housing. Afterwards I just dried it off with the back of my T-shirt which was dry. I didn't even have time to flinch.

wow, im suprised your camera body or lense didn't get messed up at all. what lense were you using?

ouch! So is your equipment OK? I had a similar incident with the video camera during the P-Town winch film session.. Similar shot, all you see is water hit the camera and then you hear "ohhh Sh....., F.....! Lucky the camera walked away without any problems.

No problems at all. I was shooting with my ES-10-22mm lens. I just dried it off.

One thing to mention, the 10-22mm isn't one where the barrel moves up and down, the zoom is handled inside the lens itself. (I know there is a term for this, but I don't know what it is)

I think that helped matters. Plus the 20D is one tough mudda!

I shot around 400 shots after this that day.. no probs. :-)
