Is anybody interested in having a wakeboard swap meet? Everybody brings there old gear and we have a wakeboarding flea market. Some locations that come to mind is the car park at Ohana Board Shop in San Jose. It could be empty on a given Sunday. And there is enough space to host many spaces, but they are limited. So please post any feedback to this idea. Let's see if we can make it happen. Who's interested? Thanks.

That is actually a reallllly great idea. I would be interested in something of this nature for sure. Can't offer a better alternative to that location though.

Great idea! Work out the details. Maybe get a couple board shops involved, they always have stuff they can't get rid of.

The swap meet would be sometime in October in the parking lot of my shop (Ohana Board Shop). Definitely a good way for people to sell their old gear. For those that are seriously intersted, shoot me an email arunfrances@yahoo.com so I can save you a spot. I should know the exact date in a week or so.

Isaac, yes!
Byrd: Doing a swap meet actually is nice for several reasons... you can actually touch/see what you are buying, you can trade your stuff with someone else and you get to meet more riders. It's highly unlikely that would happen on a thread. There is always ebay for those that want to buy their stuff online. just my 2 cents

I am down to show up and try this. Mostly to meet people, but I might have some stuff laying around as well. I call dibs on the barbeque setup with hot dogs for a buck fifty and sodas for 75 cents!

why dont we have a swap meet on here? stuff to swap: a pair of medium exo sucs red, a cwb shapiro 138(the light core model) a wake ace helmet that may need a new button fastened to it pair of coosh large bindings liquid force heater shirt large one rope in ok shape pair of bose outdoor speakers, 1 is cracked but glued back together and worked great on my old tower. pair of advent outdoor speakers used on my old boat/tower jetpilot womans farmer john wetsuit, size small, used once. rsgtrman@yahoo.com">prsgtrman@yahoo.com if anyone wants to swap, im open to anything wake or not

The swap meet is going to be on Sunday October 15th. From 11am til about 4pm. Anyone can bring there stuff and sell it.... wakeboards, vests, jackets, bindings, wetsuits, surfboards, snowboards, etc...anything board sports related. Arun, I'll be there for sure. I'm goin to need alot of space - I have so much equipment to sell, I will aslo bring the last of my '06 wake surfboards (what's left of them). Should make for an interesting day. Who else is going to show? We should do this more often.

Just got a call from the Alpinestars and Arnette Rep and he is going to set up a tent for each brand and sell off all his samples for cheap. More and more reps are joining in. I got some emails from individuals that will be bringing wakeboards and gear... if you got some stuff email me and just let me know that you are going to be there selling your stuff... its all good!This is going to be a day for deals!!!

My boat is for sale too; I'll park it on Stevens Creek if I have to. This thing is going to be huge. Make sure you secure a spot to sell your stuff with Arun. "First annual" - it should read "bi-annual", or even "tri-annual". I'm getting there at the crack to secure a space.

I have a tent on site and a boat on the street. I may on the street for that matter.

Dan, it's a great way to get rid of your old gear, buy gear, trade gear, or just go to meet other people in your area that have the same interests. So your right FL needs to have one! : )
