I highly reccomend Outlaw Platoon, by Sean Parnell.
Gives some good insight into the **** our troops are dealing with in Afghanistan. He gives you a first hand account as a platoon leader. I was moved and angered throughout the book. Give it a read. You wont regret it.

You will like Lone Survivor - check it out if you haven't read it already. Both are excellent.

if you are looking for POW/soldier books you will really enjoy Unbroken, a biography of World War II hero Louis Zamperini. He was also an Olympic track athlete.

Bought Outlaw Platoon on Friday night, didn't start reading it till Saturday afternoon. Finished the book today, great read. It seems so surreal that you wish it wasn't actually having, definitely a moving book and I would highly recommend it.

Reading Seal Team Six right now , as told by a seal team sniper. Kind of interesting the things they have to go through just to be considered for team 6.

Sorry Terry - a little on the sad side actually. My brother-in-law is a Captain for the Navy Seals - said that kind of story is more common than the exciting outcomes.

Just finished "Driving Mr. Yogi". if you are a baseball fan, you will enjoy this for the stories, and the moments shared by Ron Guidry, and Yogi Berra.
started up on "Wherever I Wind up", which is about current Knuckleball Pitcher R. A. Dickey.
Cat in the Hat is a weekly read in my house. my daughter loves Dr. Seuss!
