Tower Speakers and Amp

We're finally getting a boat with a tower and we didn't want to spend the $1k on the speaker system the dealership would install. I don't know much about speakers and amps, so I am looking for some suggestions on some tower speakers and amps that are affordable. Hearing the music while riding isn't too important to us. We just want to use them while at the beach and cruising. Thanks in advance.

I would go with a memphis marine amp. they are really good and just find some speakers you like for the price you like. If you don't car about hearing them while you ride then most of the stuff on wakeside.com will do. The real trick is when you want to hear them while you ride. That is when you have to spend tons of money. The best thing to do would look around on wakeside find some that you like then go to your nearest car audio place and listen to the speakers there. Then just buy the tower version through wakeside. If that was confusing let me know.
