I was there also a few days before WakeViolater was there (It was definitely nice to meet you. BTW, did you catch my faceplant on Monday in front of your houseboat??? hahahaha I couldn't stop laughing because I usually don't do them.. )
Anyways, the lake is down about 100 feet but plenty of water still. The houseboat company was cool and I would definitely go back and rent from them. The only issue was the wind at times. But nothing that would stop us from riding...
Wake, did you guys move into the cove that we left???
hey dave! great to meet you too! i missed the faceplant (sorry dude!). We actually just stayed on the side of the island we were on. we got lazy.
It was the first time I'd been to NM, so I dont know what to compare it to. I thought it was great.
The first weekend we were there it was busy and a bit breazy at times, but my pic above shows what the rest of the week was like. every morning it was a dream. and it stayed glassy all day.
i HIGHLY recomend New Melonies Marnia. The service was outstanding. An included service that stands out was the shuttling and loading of our gear from our cars/trucks onto the houseboat. And they also off loaded our stuff and put it into our cars/trucks at the end of the trip. after that i dont see why i would want to go anywhere else.
More pix to come...many pix on multiple cameras...
