regular foot rider

is it better for a regular foot rider to surf with your toes toward the wake or heels to the wake?

Toes to the wake is referred to as frontside, heels to the wake is referred to as backside. TYPICALLY, frontside (toes to the wake) is easier bcause you have a better view of the pocket and can adjust your weight on the board more quickly and easily. If you check the photos here on WW you'll see most folks ride frontside whenever given a choice.

I ride backside as it's easier to get a good portside wake out of the Mastercraft...
