Well the day the fires started i went on a dual sport ride to the desert and when we got back into Ramona this is what i saw

Here are a few from my fire experience...

My neighbors house. I took this pic on my way out around midnight or 1:00 on Saturday night...

The inside of this tree was still burning two days after the rest of the area was toasted. It looked like it was gas-powered the way the flames were shooting out with such force.


The only road into our neighborhood...


Burned homes in our neighborhood...



I guess parking on the street wasn't as safe as he thought...


Lots of melted fencing. At least this super nice house made it. It's less than 6 months old.


Our half-blackened back yard...


Notice the bottom half of the telephone pole is missing...


This is a shot from a trail we ride at the back of our neighborhood. El Capitan is down between those mountains.



In front of a neighbors house the day after...


An erie sun and steam off the mountains two days later...

Interesting pictures Dave. Very scenic area you live in too. Those pictures gave me a creepy feeling. Looks like some type of holocaust or something.

so much for the sierra club(?sp) and their high and mighty save the trees no matter what!
