Boardstock 2007

Anyone heard yet when and where, I heard that clear Lake city council was having another hearing tonight to reavaluate their previous denial, also heard potentially Arizona, anyone have a clue?

I hadn't heard the relocation to AZ rumor. This thread has a link to an article in a local Lakeport newspaper, which details the negotiations:

This is so lame. How can an event this big still not have a set date OR locationonly 3 months out? I was told for planning a 1st time event, we would need the location at least 4-6 months ahead of time to get everything going smoothly and that was only expecting a few hundred people, not 30k+. rediculous.

Anyone know if the World Wakesurfing Champs is going to be help separate from Boardstock?? So that maybe they can start lining up the sponsors and date/location regardless of boardstock's current dilemas. Are the two events married or can they be held separately?

I'm with you there John, unfortunately this I'm sure is going to hurt the competition this year especially if they indeed have this thing in Sept, kids are back in school and will effect travel ect. Now I did notice that they are back in negotiations with Kinocti, also noticed that Kid Rock is booked there for Sept 1st and heperformed at boardstock last year, so wouldn't that be a coincidence?, but that would even be worse cause labor day I'm sure is booked around clear lake and will make it difficult for people to get rooms ect. Boardstock has the potential of being the biggest summer show there is, if they would get their act together on marketing and planning.

yea this is lame, every year i cant compete because i have something that interfears, this year was finnaly my chance to compete, and now if the date is pushed into september its going to be really hard for me and alot of others im sure to get out of school and work and travel all that way.

In researching the potential contract between Boardstock and Konocti Vista Casino, I looked at the Lake County Sheriff's report for 8/19/06. This entry amused me for some reason, how drunk do you have to be that a Sheriff's deputy finds it necessary to "Taser Deployed" on you?

Has anyone ever been tasered due to public intoxication? If so, can you describe the circumstances - as best you can remember, of course.
