3ds or Sphynx

I am going to buy some new bindings in the off season, I have CWB fuse but they crush my feet. So for my price range I have narrowed it down to 06 hyperlite 3DS or 07 liquid force sphynx. Both being under $200. Which would you go with? Or is there another binding for the money I should look into? Thanks

derek, those boots are pretty different. do you want stiff or soft?

I have never ridden a soft binding before I was used to old still binding then I got the Fuse bindings but they crushed my feet, which makes me think soft...but I could be completely wrong too. Unfortunately I can't try any others out right now, the ice is starting to move in.

Derek I went from a pair of Fuze to 3DS and really like the 3DS definitely wider in the footbed, probably why the Fuze feel like they are crushing your feet.

I bought my oldest boy the 07 Sphynx bindings and there is not much ankle support at all. I myself have the 3DS and having bad ankles need the support of the 3DS.

3DS for sure!!! Hands down!!! You wont be dissappointed. Take about 4 sets to break in and after that they are a supportive pillow. TRUST ME!!! been rocking them since early 06 and ABSOLOUTELY LOVE THEM!!!!

I have a pair of 05 Sphynx and absolutely hate them. I had to go back to them because I sent my cells in for warranty. Everytime my feet get ripped out on a hard fall they roll the hell out of my ankles. Almost to the point were I can't walk and I get big knots on my ankles. Those bindings should be banned.

I've got the sphynxs and wouldn't trade them for anything. The are really comfy and easy to get in and out of but they are a little loose around the ankles compared to most bindings. I like looser bindings because they make it easier for me to poke my grabs, but I've never had any trouble for inverts or spins either when I need them a little tighter. Don't get them if you know you won't like looser bindings, but if you are ok with that, or are unsure, give them a try.
