tried Karl. he told me that he could get either the basic cruise or wakepro but no basic with a paddle wheel/wake cruise. they don't advertise it but will sell it if you ask.

Not sure they make NON-DIGITAL with a paddle wheel!

I've got PP cruise with the paddle wheel. Cruise works great, and holds speed just as well for those who aren't interested in the bells and whistles.

Just get it, you can control the ballast, tunes, rope length and speed before you get in the water. The driver just needs to go straight and let go of the trottle when they hear the beep. Their survival instincts (hopefully) keep them from running into things.

My wife and pretty soon my (with an adult in the boat that knows how to turn the key off) 11 year old son make great drivers now. It's the hardest part of being a good driver. Good technology!

PP is the best option I added to my old MC. A must have!

Call Elbert's... 1-800-541-4962 or 503 538-9438. I pulled my old paperwork.... Perfect Pass Wakeboard Cruise and yes it does use a paddle wheel. In 2002 it was about 600 shipped... seems like the current prices on the link are reasonable.

Big Ed... click on the link and read the description.... here is a cut and paste... WakeboardCruise

This system is identicial to PerfectPass Cruise and uses the 2 inch in-dash switch with LED light. The only difference is that the Wakeboard Cruise is speed based using the "thru-hull" paddle wheel instead of RPM. Speed based systems are generally better for wakeboarding, particularly for v-drives or heavily loaded boats. If you plan to use the system primarily for wakeboarding and want something affordable, this is the one!

Perfect Pass only makes them on special request. The reason is that it's performance was not a good as the Wakeboard Pro and they had quite a few instances of people wanting to trade up very soon afterward - a hard position to be in. Also, it did not work as well as intended on some boats. I am checking on Chuck's request, but will only sell if the application will work. I would rather lose a sale than a reputation.
