Why sorry about the Malibu?

Sorry Ernie,
I've got to take back my vote. We all know you should have mats under the tires so the rubber doesn't leave a mark on the concrete glazing.

I'm going back to Jeff with my vote.

Nick and I's problem was if we drank or ate too much the night before we couldn't get in the garage back door because the boats were all the way back against the door... I miss that garage...

Our neighbors thought we were drug dealers haha!
Old     (kstateskier)      Join Date: May 2002       03-20-2007, 3:46 PM Reply
The funny thing is that was a very good sized garage and we still had stuff packed in there. Toward the end it looked more like some of the garages in the above pics!

Miss that garage too, the front garage was even tighter with the two trucks!

Damn, I have a 3 car garage and can only fit my boat and motorcycle in there. What am I doing wrong? Next winter I'm taking the swim platform off and I'm regaining a spot for my tahoe. Not worth it during summer.

Ernie, If you want to qualify for ghetto garage you should pull the Malibu out of your garage then take a picture of the MC only!

Just kidding BUDDY....but thanks for the free garage space and cant wait to ride behind your new boat and stay at your lake house for free and drink your beer.

Grant,
When are you gonna make the call or are you going to let this thread go for a while before you declare a winner? If that is what the victor should be considered .

Jeff: I will declare a winner on Monday. That give you all week to get the last of the Ghetto Garages posted up.

I have some cool gifts for the winner.

Thanks. It took me all winter to get it to look that nice. I really love how the kids use the boat as storage for all their junk.

How are you guys?
You would know because you have been here! Was there a doubt?
Tell your Laurie to give me a call, or I'll try to get ahold of you, maybe this weekend.
Post a pic of YOUR garage, really, it shouldn't look much different than mine.

Wadd,
Very nice, or shoould I say Ghetto! I really like the space saving ATV storage. I think you'll get special points for the wakeworld sticker on the B52, may be enough right there to put you ahead??? Guess Grant will make the call on Monday!
Old     (rallyart)      Join Date: Nov 2006       03-23-2007, 3:26 PM Reply
Tough call for Grant. I wonder if he'll post a pic of his garage when he announces the winners. Of course there are guys like me who are not posting our ghetto garages because they only qualify as really messy and embarrassing but not fully Ghetto and packed.
The worst is going to be 'almost' the most Ghetto. because then you've just failed... well... twice...

It's neck and neck between Johnny and Jeff.
I think Jeff has the edge though.

The crap is taking over and the boat was pushed out side for now.
Take note of the 12v car battery on the back of the power wheels 4-wheeler.

Yeah, I would have to agree that so far Jeff has it. And what's really helping him seal the deal is the cut out in the back of the garage! I like how rough it is. Not a finished out opening, hell not even straight cuts! Now that's Ghetto style!
Old     (surfnfury65)      Join Date: Aug 2004       03-25-2007, 5:09 PM Reply
I do like how Jeff cut out the garage. Nice touch. As far as my garage, I'm not sure that I am ghetto. I like to think of my self as White Trash. I had to explain to my son that since I wear a wife beater, I have tattoos, and my wallet is attached to me by a chain, that make me white trash. Then I told him to look at the chain on his wallet. Good luck Jeff!

I think he could win a piece of vinyl siding to cover the hole like a flap. Michigan is pretty cold to have his setup. .

I like how Johnny still has the christmas tree box out and it is March now and also that he is purchasing a ceiling storage unit to get more stuff crammed in.

Jeff- what can you say about yours, if at first you don't succeed cut a bigger hole.

Lauri H.- With all of the sheetrock piled up on your door why doesn't your husband finish rocking the tops of your walls, also nice touch putting all of the trim strips up on the track for the roll up door. What's with the John Deere green Nascar room?
Old     (rich_g)      Join Date: May 2003       03-28-2007, 2:08 PM Reply
I think Aaron Ware gets an Honorable Mention. Notice in the first pic how the Bronco on floor jacks straddles to two garage door openings. That took some engineering.

I went to Home Depot and got the goods for first place in the Ghetto Garage contest. I will list the prise's and full details on the Winner and the resaon for my desision later today.

CAR, we are putting a drop ceiling in, so there really isn't a need to rock the tops of the walls. The room has 9' walls, so we are going to put the ceiling at 8'.
Don't ask about the Nascar room. Not my deal.
One thing that really frightens me about this thread is that there are THREE Broncos. Things that make you go hmmm.

Grant, who's the winner? You're killing us! Also, what exactly did you have to get at Home Depot as a prize? A pre-fabbed shed to store all the crap in the winners garage?

Ok, I am gonna get up in this... Our driveway is too steep, so we have to build ramps to get the boat in and out of the garage. Then, once it is semi-in the garage, we have to turn it since the boat is too long. We have punched holes in the drywall accidentally, but covered it up with that sign haha.

Kevin, when you said that you worked about 64hours last week was that for your job or how long it took you to get that boat in and out of the garage?? I vote for you just for the effort and drive to keep the boat at home.

haha thanks Sinko! My hours I mentioned in another thread were actual work, its rough. The boat goes in the garage for the winters. We actually have it down pretty smoothly. I guess I found this thread a little late?

G- you are slackin on posting the winner!
Old     (rallyart)      Join Date: Nov 2006       04-08-2007, 9:03 PM Reply
There must be some bonus for the intricate and heavy ramps but the flowers visible through the window hurt you chances. They look like they're cared for, and you can see them so the window can't be fully ghetto'd.

I like this thread, maybe Grant should reopen the competition for another week or so?
Old     (ktmwakeboarder)      Join Date: Jun 2004       04-08-2007, 9:09 PM Reply
Art- yeah you should have seen what an ordeal it was the first couple of times haha. I'm down for some bonus points! I've been waiting for an opportunity to post these pix, I love this thread!
