I lost my camera in the lake on the weekend. I was thinking of diving down this afternoon to see if I could find it. Do you think the pictures will still be okay on the SD card? or am I wasting my time?

Ouch. If I had to bet, I'd say the pics would be fine on the SD card, but are they really worth it...my guess is your water is cold and dark by now...and currents may have moved your camera far from the 'drop in' spot.

FOUND THE CAMERA! My buddy has dive gear and spend about 1/2 hour around the area I thought it was. He said it was pure luck that he spotted it through all the mud and weeds. Now I hope that the pictures are okay.

When did Dave toss a light meter into the water?

I had a CF card go through both the washer and dryer in my pocket and both the card and the images on it were fine.

Yeah, as long as it's Kyle's light meter.. He's always trying to get the same shots. Without it, he is dead in the water.. Now was that f2.8 or f11 I was suppose to be shooting at?

I had a PC-101 go swimming with the fish @ the delta once. You're lucky you were able to recover your camera!

Only word of advise. Schedule your camera gear separately on your renters/home insurance so that it's fully covered regardless.
