Problem w/Wake Designs Board Raks

Has anyone else had a problem with the newer board racks from WD? One of the racks cracked at the base after two months of use. Local dealer is suggesting I upgrade to the chrome version and pay the difference (apparently this is not the first time they have seen this). Thoughts and suggestions are welcome... JC

The biggest part of the WD breakage is that when the rack brakes your board goes flying or it can come straight down and do damage to your boat or person sitting by the rack. When my WD rack brock it came close to hitting my wife who was seated in the passenger seat! —Overall poor customer service if you have to deal with them direct. —
