I just sold my old board which had thumb screws to secure the bindings. Now, like the kook that I am, I don't have anything to attach my 04 lyman j-star bindings to my new 06 Hyperlite Murry board. I was just going to get thumb screws again but they sometimes rip out & im not sure what hyperlite boards take.
So do I get the same, get hex head bolts with big mother washers or stiffy plates (which I'd never heard of til I checked the J-star website today)& which manufacturer????

Go to ACE and find a suitable setup in the stainless steel section... bring your setup in and test it out!

I've got the thumb screws on my LF team board, but I sometimes use my friends 3DS & my screws are too short. So, I went to Ace w/ my thumb screws & got some regular (#3 bit) stainless steel bolts that are the correct length. I also carry a little rubbermaid screwdriver in my bag w/ the extra screws in case I need them.

I'm guessing ACE is a fully pimping Wakeboarding store or a hardware store but being from Scotland its a wee bit tricky getting there....Does it have a website or has anyone got another idea??

Sorry. It's a hardware store. I wasn't thinking, but I would assume they have those there.

Well went to the two big hardware stores which are throughout the U.K. & there was jack...unless I want wood screws or rawbolts, so I guess i'm back to square one.
Does anyone know if hyperlite threads are the same as Jobe & what the feck are stiffy plates good for??
They just look like kidneys with two holes drilled in them. I guess I'm being pretty thick but I thought most boards only had one hole for each side of the binding!
