adjusting exos

this one is a bit long so hang in there.
I just baught some 04 exo sucs and they seem to have a little too much heel lift. the overlays where attached on the back screw of the front set of screws, so i tried to tighten them by one notch and have found it really hard to pull them tighter and get everything lined up. Now i have them screwed down towards the heel like the 03s and the heel lift has gone away but they cut in a little accross the front of my leg and foot.
just wondering if anyone had any other ideas

how about putting one side of the overlay on the front hole of the heel plastic, and one side of the overlay on the last hole of the forefoot plastic. I think they work better if you just have them a little looser but with the overlays attached on the front hole on the heel plastic.
