Looking for some advice from anyone who's been there. I was considering an older Enzo but would want to change the prop rotation.

I heard you could change the transmission, but when I called Centurion the person there said I would change the V-drive unit out for a "surf right" at around $3500. This was after being condescending about mixing up the tranny vs V-drive, and telling me I'd need to contact the engine mfg for a reverse rotation tranny - if they even exist.

Stupid question: Is it even possible to change the transmission to a reverse rotation tranny? Would that mess up the V-drive running it in reverse? Anyone got the straight scoop?

i believe if your trans is a 1:1 you can reverse the shift cable at the throttle and put a different prop on it.. i could be wrong on these boats. not very fimiliar with centurions

If the marine gear is a Borg Warner pull it off the bell housing and reverse the pump direction. There are arrows embossed on the pump body and it's only a few bolts.

what you are told is correct for a Mercury Engine
You will need to replace the V drive The good news is you should be able to recoup some of your money by selling the old V drive
