I was there about a month ago and it looked to be at least 3/4 full still. Should be good all season.

water level here: http://www.ycwa.com/conditions

It's still got another 15' before dark day starts to get sketchy, and it's still way useable even then, you just need to be careful because a big island comes out right straight out from the ramp.

We r headed up to dark day for labor day. It seems like alot of local spots are getting pretty low.

it should be fine then, but if the water is 1890 or below you have to be very careful about coming in because a big island (or peninsula, really) comes up about 40 yards from the ramp. No big deal, you just have to go around it going on and off the trailer.

headed up friday. Its at 1889 today. Does that island come up from the campground side (left looking down the ramp) or from the side with the dock?

I was just there. You should be good. Yes on the left side by Dark Day is an obstacle. Also when you go down the Yuba past Garden Point watch out for a Penninsula on your right hand side by Frenchy Point. Right now it looks like a Camel hump (two mounds) and twice I have seen stupid people try to split them and jack their boat up both times. http://bullardsbar.com/campground-navigator/

Have a blast bro!

How was it?

Honestly... Not great. It was crowded which on a holiday weekend is totally expected but what killed it was the wind. It was so windy every morning. By the time it would start to lay down everone was out of bed and on the water. I didn't ride all weekend. We still had fun but it just wasn't what I was hoping for.

Was there on Monday. It was a holiday so it was crowded as expected. A little choppy because of all the boats. Take those away and it would have been great. Still plenty of water to enjoy.

Zactly... Stay over by dark day in the morning then, goof off and float mid day while it's crowded, then up the river in the afternoon. If its windy on one side of garden point the other side is usually good.

Sick picture.

Drove out for an evening set last night, water up the River past Madrone was perfect for 5 minutes until 6 boats start wakesurfing up and down and side ways it was freaking ridiculous. One of them cut right in front of my boat while I was taking a set and then got upset because we were forced to squeeze between them and another boat. Bastards

which boat was yours Taylor? We had the same experience last night. Too many boats, a couple surfing (wtf, what's wrong with the rest of the lake?). A couple of tards even tubing up there. This morning was way better. We had decent water from 10-1.

I was in the yellow/white 05 vRide. Didn't get on the lake until 4. I was not expecting the lake to be that busy mid september as I usually don't go out on weekends. Lesson learned.

Did you see that zipline setup on the beach across from the dock? Best camping idea I've ever seen. Definitely getting a 100 yard steel cable for next year.

Is that blue boat in the picture yours? I remember seeing a blue MB on the water, wake looked huge!

No, didn't see the zipline (we launched at emerald cove this time... stayed on a friend's houseboat).

Yeah, that was us in the MB. I agree that I wasn't expecting it to be nearly as busy as it was.

Yesterday morning was great though. Go figure. Although I will say that the one thing I totally don't get is the guys pulling tubes first thing in the morning.

Hoping to get out a few more weekends before the weather turns.

Pretty sure I've seen your boat there before, and remember seeing it on saturday.

Damn, I almost drove out for a morning set yesterday but my back was bugging me. I'll probably get back to bullards only one or two more times this season now that I'm back in Chico and Lake Oroville is closer. How often do you drive down from Reno?

I wish I had friends with houseboats on Bullards, I can't wait to join the Emerald Cove Houseboat club next season... I'm over tent camping haha
