I'm installing a Clarion CMD5 in my 2000 Supra Launch. After removing the factory stereo I have the following opening in the dash. It is to large for the CMD5 so I made a plate out of 1/4" plywood as a quick fix, I was limited on the tools available on the lake so don't laugh to hard. my question is does any one sell a plate the will help me out here or do I need to spend some time an make a nice one myself? It may not look good now but at least I had tune for the weekend.
Go to your local stereo shop and get a sheet of abs plastic and some color matched vinyl. Wrap the vinyl over the plastic. Or just get vinyl and wrap plastic over the wood your already using.
I made rings for my new rear speakers to cover the marks in the upholstery from the old ones. I used a plastic kitchen cutting board from the dollar store, worked perfect. Wrapped 'em in vinyl and you'd be hard pressed to tell it's not factory done. Total cost about $13
