Well guys I'm still in the market for a boat and I found a 99 Sanger V210 in my area for $14,500. It's in great condition. It doesn't have a tower or anything so I would probably have to throw down another $1500 or so to get it to my liking. I'm am also considering a late 90's Sport Nautique. I can find one of those in the 13k-14k range as well. I've owned an early 90's Sport Nautique before and liked the wake with around 1500 lbs in it. My preffered choice would be a Super Sport, but it seems they are becoming extinct... or people want 20-30k for them.

My top priorities in a boat are 1)wake 2)resale 3)durability

Since the V210 is a V-drive I think I could resell it a bit easier when it came time, but the color scheme on it is horrible. We're talkin bright torquise and bright purple. I've heard good things about the wake, but I've never even been behind any sanger.

Nautiques seem to sell pretty well if they are priced right, even if it is a direct drive.

I plan on upgrading in a year or two so that's why I have resale in mind.

So should I go for the V210 or shop around for a nice sport nautique?

Is $14,500 a good deal on that Sanger?

Let me know what ya think?

as much as I am a Nautique guy, I would vote the V210, just a much more usable layout and versatile wakeboard boat.

V210 and you probably won't find a need to upgrade.

If you were comparing the V-210 to a Super Sport, now that would be worthy of a debate.

The Sport is a great boat, but you are comparing apples and oranges here. The'99 V-210 is the same hull as on the 2010 V-210. That should tell you something. This is one of the boats that started the current v-drive popularity back in the mid '90s, and Sanger got it right the first time.

I still think it is one of the best looking, best handling, and most solidly built boats out there, even comparing to new boats of today. Sure, not all the bling, just pure function.

My '99 has served me well, and I ever get another, It would likely be another Sanger.

Oh, and there's no way I would sell mine for $14,500, that's a great price, (assuming the boat's in decent shape).

As far as general performance and comfort the V210 is miles ahead of the Sport IMO. I even prefer it to the Super Sport. Hideous colours I can't help with unless you want to wrap it.

V210 all the way. Unless you're comparing to a Super Sport then it would be a better comparison. V-drives have alot going for them in all areas, wake, resale, and room.

Yeah, it's the one in Salem. I figured by the time I drove out there to pick it up I would be into it around $14,500. They are asking $13,500 which seems like a decent deal.

That is a great deal if it is in good shape. Embrace the ugly dated colors and have some hot pink pinstriping or stickers made up for it.

I was bored the other day and found some good deals on V210's. I will see if I can find them for you.
