Surf Expo - special events???

Surf Expo is not open to the public. You must be working with either a selling company or buying shop.

the schedule of events is on the website. It doesn't look like there will be any wake demo but judging by Riley's response there might be something that they're not showing on the schedule. If you can find way to get in then I guess you'll find out. If you can talk a local shop into adding you to their list of registered employees and have them make you a fake business card then you can get in.

a tramp competition yea they will be heading downtown and find the biggest skeezers in otown

There is definitely going to be something WAY cooler than a "tramp contest" , "board demos", or "close up of boots"... AND it will be accessible to the general public.

There's always some sort of rickety railjam downtown. The last 2 years there's been one outside of Expo that has been top notch. Guess you'll have to go to see!!
