triple ups

Chad said something about a triple up in his interview. what is it? ive never heard of it before!

It is a way to make a double up wake even bigger. You turn about 45 degrees and at the inside of the turn it creates a wake bigger than normal. Then you turn the boat all the way around to hit that section of the wake just like you would in a double up. It throws a HUGE WAKE!!

thats not how you pull a triple up. they pull it just like a double, except they let off of the throttle for the pre turn which sends a larger roller. when they turn back around they find the larger roller and drive through it.

Brand: um.... thats not a triple up either

for a triple up, you drive a small V, thn circle around and come back through the mioddle of that.

Jeff and Chris are saying the same thing. Chris your drawing may be a little bit extreme on the V but that is a triple up. You put a kink in the boat path then make a normal 2up and drive the boat through the kink. They are huge and real steep.

I guess I didn't make to much sense in my explanation but the drawing is what I was trying to say with the least amount of words.

They are a great way to slam you knee into you face or blow an ACL. That being sais we love them. Think of it as a double up with a kink in the line, you drive back through the kink.

Brand Driver is wrong Chris and Jeff aare correct. Driving slower does make a biger roller, but not as big as a triple up kink!

They are also hard on board racks

If you drive it right the boat doesn't have to go through to monster triple. If you are doing a right handed triple, drive the boat just to the left of the kink as you come back through. By the time the rider gets to it the kink will flow through farther and be perfect.

David, JB is correct Colin seems to have knees of steal. He is the only wakeboarder that I know that will take 4 sets on the water then hit the gym.

We have video of it plenty of video actually, but it is all being used in Kyle Chattin's wake movie "Methology"
