I have a 96 Sport Nautique direct drive. I put a tube sac in the locker and two on either side of the engine box. Any suggestions on how to weight this boat better?

Thanks!!

Chad I have a '96 MC 205 DD which is real similar to your Sport Nautique, mine is just a little bit wider. instead of putting the two sacs on each side of the engine put them in the back two corners of the the boat. This will weight the back down more more like a V-drive. You already have a lot of weight in the middle with the boat being a direct drive. If your wake is too soft with the two sacs in the back move people up front or your locker sac forward.

Double the amount of weight in the boat that you are running now. That boat has one of the all time greatest wakes.

Thanks for the replies. Nice to hear that "all time greatest wakes" comment. Double? Wow. I forgot to mention that I have 120lbs under the rear seats too!! Guess I'll buy another FS!!!

Thanks

One of those Launch couchs might just be the ticket for the rear. The "tube sacs" barely hold anything. Your ski locker will hold a giant sac, and having one that just fits should be the ticket. Do not believe "claimed" sac weight either.

I used to have an open bow ski nauty and ran with a fat seat in the back with a sac on top of it then another sac filled in the bow.

I have a '94 sport and use up to 2 550lb FS in the rear with 3 in the boat (usually sitting in the passenger seat). 1 on the floor behind the engine box & 1 on the middle of the back seat. You can still sit people on the outside of the back seat if you want more weight, but the 2 sacs are usually enough. The wake @ 22/23 is clean and big.

Talk to Chris (www.wakejunky.com). He had the same boat before getting the SAN.
