Ben D- Looks like Eric sold his truck. Eric is a friend of mine and I have seen this truck, it is super clean, with 36K original miles it is just insane to think about how little this truck was driven. We were looking at an oil change sticker from like two years ago and he had only put something like 1000 miles on it in that time period. Great deal.

clayton,

You definitely know the truck! Eric is a great guy and I got lucky when i found out he was thinking about selling it. We were vacationing up with his family in houseboat on Lake Shasta over the summer when we found out. He kept me on the ropes for awhile but he finally said yes! I saw your sound illusions website and that reminds me that I need some tower speakers for my boat, I think I'll give you a call...

Ben: Thats a real nice tow rig. I bet that thing pulls your boat real nice.

It does okay, Grant. It maxs out at 7900 lbs, which is what that boat weighs with coolers, fuel, etc. I wouldn't want to go too fast on too long of a drive. Ranges are smooth rides though and it's hard to know it's behind me... til I try to stop. ;-)

Yes I guess thats a downside of a short wheel base tow rig, Im sure the Chevy Tahoe or Esclade has the same sorta feel when brakeing hard the boat wants to push the rig around bit. But I will take that over the bouncy hard ride a lifted truck gives you

No big lift or anything, but this tows great with 9500lb towing capacity. Much better than my F150 did and the ride is great.Upload

WOW D. Did it come with a ladder for me?? I may need help getting in the cab for our lake trips. I'll have to be careful not to bump my head on the bumper. PIMP! I can't wait to see the boat behind it!

Nice Rig Ben. Got the Supercharged Sport here, in black also. Haven't tried towing yet, but seeing your picture makes me want to hook the boat up to it just to take pictures.

I like the sport. Had one ordered, but went full size last minute. Great rigs. Your rig will tow like a dream. Give it a shot.

I am leaving for Kentucky tonight to pick up my new mog. I needed something to pull the boat and to go camping with. I just sold the ambulance. I tried to buy this mog off ebay about a year ago and got outbid by some guy who didn't really know what it was. I finally, after a year and about 500 emails was able to work out a deal to buy it off him. The back end actually has a hydrualic arm that pivots down and out, that's how they put the motorcycle there. The reciever is attached to that. It used to have a backhoe on it.

Why would you want sutch a machine for towing the boat and camping. I dont know to many tow spots that would need sutch a beast

That Unimog may be the most awesome thing I have ever seen.

Also in this thread, best misspelling of 'such' I have ever seen.

Oh Kyle.

I was kidding. I've been watching Grant's work for years. The guy is a genius. I was kidding.

Thanks!

Yeah, It helps when your wife is not a jewelry person and likes to ski more than you do!

The Truck was my "mid-life crisis" purchase. Most guys get a Mistress, instead I got a truck. My wife said I should have went for the Mistress - she would have been cheaper and I would spend less time with her!

I asked if I could have both....she failed to see the humor there.
