Its that time of year, when HL releases their new catalog featuring all the new gear. The 2004 line looks pretty sweet, from wakeboards to t-shirts, everything has a new look to it.

WAKEBOARD HIGHLIGHTS:

<> TEMET <> Murrys new twin tip shape will be featured in 132.7 w/2.6 rocker, 138.1 w/2.7 rocker and 142.3 w/2.8 rocker. He told us that he spent 2 years designing this deck. He shaped this in his garage with prototype decks and bondo, he would go out, test em, add new stuff and when it got too heavy to ride, he would send it to HL for a new prototype setup. Looks like the hard work paid off.

<> BYERLY: This new shape has been 4 years in the making and has made history along the way with the patent of its Flow Thru technology. It will be available in 132 w/ 2.6 rocker, 137 w/ 2.7 rocker and 142 w/2.8 rocker (all 3 stage).

<> PREMIER: This is an all new shape for 2004. They bumped up all the sizes by 1cm, widened the decks by 1.25 inches and lengthened the molded fins by 3 inches. The design is more aggressive and quick. The graphics have something to be desired with Miami Vice style colors.

<> PARKS: Nothing big has changed except for color and fin sizes. Graphics look GOOD!

<> TFD: Same shape, new colors. Look for a Chinese influence on the graphics

<> ERA SERIES: Ruck finally has a "PRO MODEL", but dont get too excited, this is not a new shape, it is the old premier mold with very interesting PSYADELIC graphics.

<> NYX 135: Lauren Harf finally got a signature board of her own. It features a 2.6 rocker (continuous), 4 molded .8inch fins and a center fin.

<> ELYSIAN 119: a board designed by Dallas for the younger girls.

BINDINGS:

Hyperlite is looking good for 2004. They have all new "OCKMAN footbeds" which have double density foam that feels pretty good. The Parks has returned to the classic red and black colors, better option 2s and pro footbeds. Murray has a new TEMET binding with new BOA speed dial in the front (11:1 gear ratios). Sharpes Highbacks have a new clear orange overlays and pro OCKMAN footbeds, they look really good for being orange. One thing that is interesting is that they have not included the prototype "El Zapato" binding in this years line, possibly well see them in 2005

OTHER STUFF:
Keep an eye out for HLs new 2004 team video titled "Welcome" on SideWayz.com as well as a Byerly Documentary DVD. They are also putting out a picture book called "Under the Radar", including 60 pages of good glossy stuff.
