My G/F really likes the Jobe Lydia. Has anyone ridden this board? Does anyone know where to look at one or buy one in SoCal?

Check out http://www.perfski.com or http://www.buywake.com. They both carry Jobe, but don't list that one on their websites. However, they might be able to get their hands on it for you.

she likes the way the board rides, right? Can you get one from the place you demoed it?

Probably any Hyperlite dealer would be able to get one for ya. Check out Wakesports Unilimited in SD & Orange. They sell other brands as well...

I am checking Wakesports on Sunday. She actually likes the way it looks and it seems that it may be like the Subjekt the way it rides. I just wish she could demo it first.

Sean i am definitely an LF guy all the way. I am sticking with my Subjekt but am picking up a Balance also.

"They are the same"

I dont see how you can say that the insight is nothing like a hyperlite board, the base mould is completely different.
If they were made in the same moulds i would admit defeat, they may be made in the same factory but they also ride completely different to each other

You said "Jobe is better than Hyperlite", do you base that on the fact that their molds are better or that the quality of their product is better? You made a general statement about the company not about a specific shape. Obviously a board with different features will ride differently. If you had said that Eisenhauer's board is better than Hyperlite's Beginner board then yes I would probably agree, but you made a general statement that Jobe is simply better. I am not as dumb as you think I am, I know that Hyperlite's shapes are different than Jobe's. I used to work in a pro shop and could probably tell you things about board design that you've never even heard of... Oh and "nothing like a Hyperlite board" is not accurate, because Jobe boards are a Hyperlite board except Jobe is putting their name on it as opposed to Hyperlite. Why do most Jobe riders ride Hyperlite bindings?
