Centurion owners which board do you surf with..

I just bought a 06 Avalanche with the sideswipe setup to begin wakesurfing, hopefully. So i am in the market for a wakesurf board, what do you guys prefer for the wake/wave off of a Centurion Avalanche? I am 6' tall 180lbs.

CA, finally?! So, the Walzer has a skimboard template and is ridden with a twizer. Sick! It's hard to tell from the pictures, but...it looks like it's thicker than a typical skimboard, true? The pintail on both ends will make it stable for moves to 180. How does it ride...and we all know you're going to say it's the best thing sense sliced bread. Any unbiased opinions?

How do you like the fins on the Walzer? They look about 3" from that pic! I'm riding a fin-less skim, and would love a small 3/4" or smaller. I'm thinking a small fin can improve feel when finishing rotations. But, it's an ab workout when trying to release a fin over 2". Why isn't anyone using a swallow tail?

Anything I'm going to say is biased but you are right that particular board is 1 1/4" thick with
2 3/8" fins and rides likes it's possessed. They're available in a pin, swallow or diamond tail and with either a 3/4, 1, or 1 1/4" core.

Interesting...different tail designs and thicknesses and on a skimboard template. What is the length?

I'm riding with 3.25 inch fins, James prefers the 3.5. The 2.375 gives you drive when you want it, but breaks loose easily?

It would seem you folks took the best of both riding styles and combined them? Was that your design goal?

Ok and so now...how can those of us not riding on 110 foot yachts buy one?

Right now Walzer is making 3 basic lengths- 52", 54", and 56". Combined with the tail, fin, and core options anyone can customize the perfect wakeriding tool.

The fins are also available in a 3.25" but I prefer the smaller set. Like you said it gives me extra drive and control but is still really loose and retains a lot of the "feel" of riding a skimboard.

A website is in the works and should be done a week or so and boards should also start trickeling in to local shops.

So that I understand your market approach, you are offering 3 lengths, 3 thicknesses and 3 tail designs. Any combination of those can be ordered? So that is what...27 different potential configurations? Plus fin options.

Ok, so that would pretty much allow a customized board, but without requiring true hand shaping for each order. That's smart. What guidance can you offer folks in combining or selecting options? We certainly wouldn't want to buy 27 different boards to find the right combo.

I still want to see how they ride, no offense CA, but you're going to say they are next to spiritual to ride!

Actually the "stock" board that will be in stores is going to be the pintail 52" & 56" in 3/4" and 1 1/4" thicknesses...but we also anticipate that a large portion of his initial sales will be custom orders from skimmerboarders use to having a high performance board taylored to their needs.

Jeff- If I hurry up and get my boat serviced, I should be able to give you an unbiase opinion of the Walzer boards.
