I have been searching for plastic speaker covers for my 6.5" speakers for over a year now. Obviously I'm not using marine speakers otherwise I would have plastic covers for them. Does anyone know where to purchase plastic speaker covers?!? Metal mesh covers don't work due to they keep getting bashed in. Has anyone else run into this problem? Any help would be great!

You aren't likely to find any...Sorry, I have looked and looked. The problem is being universal to 6.5 speakers. They vary wildly in design, tweeter depth, screw holes, and even OD. Unless you have speakers that you just love and really want to keep, get on e-bay and look for some speakers with plastic grills(doesn't have to be marine). Pioneer makes a good and cheap set, as does Polk(their MB series). $30 to $60 a pair would be typical. Not to bad to clean up your boat and cure your metal grill aggravations...

have you tried to go down to your local car stereo store? bring your old grills to compare. Lots of times these guys install speakers but do not install the grills because people want that factory look. good luck

Kraig,
I have some plastic Kenwood Marine speaker covers you can have. I'm not sure if they will work, but you can give them a shot.....
