I just bought a 2004 Glastron and I ordered a MonsterTower to install. Does anyone have any advice with the installation on this boat? I would assume that I need to reinforce the hull in some manner.

THanks for you help

Yes I would cut small sections of 1/2"plywood say 3"x4" (you will need 4 of these), I used goop glue to adhere the plywood to the inside of the boat (liquid nails would work), because I wanted it to conform to the inside of boat, after that I molded fiberglass (bondo kit from autozone)over the wood, whole process took about 2 hours.

Ok thanks! The area that I am installing the tower to is almost round (where the top of the hull bends to the inside of the boat. Is there anything else that would be more pliable?

If that is the case Be sure to request that they send you longer screws, with your tower. They will do this at no charge.

I would just build the area up with fiberglas, to give myself a flat area to place the back plate supplied by monstertower.

Hope this helps
