These graphics are the best they can do for a $60,000+ boat??

Someone told me once that good aesthetics won't increase sales, but bad design will DEFINITELY hurt sales... I think 'Bu will be hurting on this one. Upload

The funny part is I'm sure that it was a group decision and the guys at Malibu looked over a few designs and said...."we pick this one", lol.

Still lightyears better than the graffiti xstar. I bet they're even vinyl and can be changed at a later date.

The Xstar graffiti is vinyl as well, and you can get it in the Old School gel also. That Malibu is not that bad, I think the CCs big decal on the side of the 220 is worse and the dripmold decal on the inside of the tower, (where the board racks mount) looks like a cheap after thought.

Funny that someone mentions this is "light years" ahead of a Mastercraft. If you look at the pic below of last years MC designs and then look at Malibu's new "Numbers Only" graphics, you would think they're almost copying what MC did a year ago. Give them credit though they're still sticking with some of their sh*tty tribal graphics on their other malibu models..... Upload

For the record, I made no mention of who was copying who. I think both of the graphics mentioned look like they were designed by 3rd graders. Also I thought the graffiti was in the gel? Read that on here countless times at least.

Both great boats, but not my cup of tea.

I never have been a fan of large graphics.
I dont want a 5 ft long Ford sticker on my truck why would I want a 5ft long sticker on my boat.

If I were not afraid that it would leave a shadow mark I would take the nautique off of my boat.

Jon, I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you want to do it, go for it. I bought a Gravity Games boat (profile pic) because I liked the options, but always kind of thought the graphics all over it were a little cheesy. I mean, I'm not exactly training for the Gravity Games here nor do those sponsors slide me any cash. Over the past few weekends I've finally pulled them all off. There were some slight shadows, most noticibly on the rear black part. Some 2000 grit sandpaper, rubbing compound and polish has made it look brand new like nothing was ever there. I'll post pics next week after I put the finishing touches on it this weekend.

Looks so much better without all the decals.

Ya, I love checking out all the graphics out there, and almost got the tribal graphic on my 05 LSV but went with plain on the advice of my dealer. Glad I did, love that clean look, too. Now if I can just keep the sponsors off my back

I agree, that floating hunting blind is hideous. No offense if any of you were fooled into buying one. It actually hurts my eyes to look at it.

Jon - you've seen my 2001, right? Stripped the graphics off entirely. It left shadows, but a good day of wetsanding and polishing made it shine like new. I think I'm gonna leave it entirely clean - no graphics at all.

Im not a fan of the graphic's but dont you notice that after some time things grow on you.
When I first saw the Garfitti Master Craft x-star I wasent diggin it but now it has grown on me. The Suffara. Im sure if some one slipped me enough XTC I would like it as well, That has to be one of the ULGYest color combo's ever

Im not so sure. There is an orange and yellow malibu on our lake. It looks like a McDonalds boat. Maybe it is, I think Ill see if they have cheeseburgers tomorrow.

the xstar looks cool in pics but the way that the graphic is actually applied is cheesy in that when you choose the color that the grafitti is... it should be darker than the rest of the boat. for instance if the graffiti is white and the boat is any dark or bright color you will see the color through the white vinyl section of the graffic. its cool if you get black graffiti on red though.
