slider instructions

hi guys just need some instructions or sketches on how to make a floating slider i dont want a permanent one thanks

If you want to go with a real pretty cheap one that is easy to take in a out. We take a piece of 4 inch pvc pipe (at least 20 ft, 10 feet isn't really long enough.)you cut 2 holes in it that will fit over the top of some dock poles. Put the dock poles in where you want the slider and slip the pvc over the top of them. The only problem with it is that it has to be used in water that is shallow enough for the poles to go down far enough to bite. It doesn't take long to put in and take out and it does the trick!

i built this in two sections...bolted it down to these dock floats and used a few anchors to keep it from moving...the pvc pipe is 2" in diameter..

how did you screw the pvc on

i don't understand the math BUT, the four PVC pipes together is about 9 inches wide. So i cut a 9.5 inch lond 2x4 to place every 12 inches or so along the PVC. I screwed these braces directly to the PVC. This allows you to stabilize the PVC as if were one big pole. Then place that on top of a 2x10. Screw the 2x10 to the PVC wood braces. Make sense?
