glassing in future fin boxes

Question . why have i seen the majority of the people glass boxes in after lam. and not per future fin instructions that are before lam ??

Futures produces an install DVD. My installation jig came with it. I do believe you can buy just the DVD at supply houses for around $12. I think that foamez and fiberglass supply both carry it.

In addition to the DVD you can watch the install vid on the Futures website as well.

Mark - who are you seeing that is installing after the lam? I know Jeff has done a few "aftermarket" installs, but I've always done as in the video -- before the lam.

Besides Jeff -- I've talked to a few glassers that install after the hotcoat. Just have to lay down another layer of glass and "feather" it into the rest of the bottom when sanding out... I'm going to do a few post lam installs this week so I'll have to let you know how it goes...

I did mine before the lam and built my own jigs for use with my router. It was much cheaper an took a little longer but saved $189.

It would be nice to be able to buy the jigs without the router or lam trimmer.

well i saw everyones pics from WW , as most of them were installed after lam . I will proceed to install before lam. thanks
