Me and most people I know are regular. I can roughly estimate that about 25% of the people I know are
part of the goof troop.

I'm goofy and all my wakeboarding buddies are goofy too. But my wife and my family are regular.

It doesn't matter if you are riding on boat, but if you are a "cable guy" and you are goofy you get some advantages. On our cable it's like 60:40 regular:goofy. I am goofy. My brother is regular. I write with my right hand, so its funny stuff with the physiology...

almost every cable rider is goofy because there aren't many clockwise cables

there are many more regular footers in board sports...
interestingly...I've been told that the vast majority of surf breaks in the world favor goofy footers....
I'm goofy myself...

Most are reg in our crew but we have a couple of goofy footers. Since there are more reg foot riders, the goofy foot riders get converted to reg if they want to surf.

I've rode regular for like the past 10 years but its only been this year that actually I think I've been living a lie and I'm really goofy.
I go bigger and find it less scary to try new tricks goofy so go figure.
Oh and the other day while slaloming I forgot and put the ski on the wrong foot. Was only after I ran the course did I realise something didn't feel quite right (or left as the case maybe!).

Not all cable riders are goofy. Regular cable riders are doing most of their tricks to the inside of the cable. Goofy riders get some advantage because cutting to the outside is a bit more powerful than to the inside and you are not making extra turns...
