TAKE THE DAY OFF FRIDAY 17TH!

Any NJ riders who want to take a road trip to Lake Mahopac, NY on the 17th. We'll be leaving my house at 6am with the X-star in tow, riding on the lake all day and returning back in the evening. It's an all day excursion so BYOB!

Lake Mahopac is located about 1 hr. north of NYC. We'll be riding with some locals who can show us around the lake.

I have room for 8 of us in the suburban, or you can drive yourself or take the train up. Those interested, please send me an e-mail.

Congrats to all of the crew who walked away with a win in their category at such a great event:

Michele - Girls
Kevin - Advanced
JB - Outlaw
George - Senior
Alex - Senior
Dave - Senior

Doug, did you place? I wasn't sure. Someone correct me. Although water conditions sucked...everyone who rode did a great job!!

Whats the plans for this weekend? Sunday is my birthday. I'll be 22 . I'm kinda thinking about riding on my b-day but I'm not sure yet.Anyone thinking of going out on Sunday?

I have to work this Saturday, but I'm thinking about going out SUPER early Sunday morning and then finish-up
around noon or 1:00pm. But as things stand right now I'd be totally alone, so I'd first have to piece together
a small, key crew. If I make it out Jim, we'll definitely raft-up for a birthday cold one.

Oh man. Who let these old farts into the SOS wakeboarding event?

Ok, that was just an attempt at some booty peeping humor above!

Let's not forget that last saturday wasn't just simply about a wakeboard contest. Several members of the Jersey riders crew hit the boardwalk for some beers and some amusement ride mayhem.

Oh man....the boardwalk was fun but there is a back story to the go-karts!

We got the guys operating the karts to add 3 more karts so that all 8 that were riding could go at the same time. While they were busy catering to our request we started conversing about how we were going to absolutely break every rule they had. Long story short we played bumper cars with those carts so much so they were yelling at us to stop by the end. The pic above of the crashed karts is only 1 of several "incidents" that unfolded. I could be wrong but I think all 8 of us slid out a least once during that 6 min period!

As planned, after The SOS Invitational we hit the Seaside boardwalk. First stop was The Sawmill
http://www.sawmillcafe.com/home.html
for THREE giant pizzas and four pitchers of suds. You know, if I can't follow-up a meal of pizza and
beer with a cigar, it may as well be road rage go carting! Yes, the only rule was to break ALL the rules.
Look! Before we even got he green flag I was already pulling up and bumping the back of Doug's cart.
Upload

Here's Kevin just starting to get sideways and about to be plowed into by the rest of the field. Note
the intensity in Kevin's and Connor's faces. Road rage carting takes no prisoners.
Upload

The Orb of Death was insanely intense. I'd really like to go back and do it again.

Finally, I've managed to piece together a small crew for Sunday morning. Jim, Ryan, we'll probably see
you out there.

NJ Crew
Thanks to everyone for coming down the the SOS Wakeboard Invitational. I know the conditions weren't perfect but considering what we are used to at that site, it was awesome. We ended up raising over $5000 and had 46 riders compete. That was amazing considering we did all day of registration. We had 8 girls in the bikini contest(a little weak) and sold over 300 burgers and dogs. This whole thing was so successfull because of the NJ Crew and I thank you guys a ton for that. Ill be out riding for the rest of the year if anyone needs a pull in the area, let me know.

Jay
Ps. I have hundreds of pictures that we will be uploading to the website soon.

Jay, you (and Craig) did a great job with the event........I for one was very impressed!

Thanks for inviting the NJ Crew to come out and enjoy the day with you. It was the first comp for many of us (myself incl.) and it was a great experience.

Consider it an open invitation for you to ride in the fresh water at Bordentown sometime.

also, someone told me that one of you guys may have a house up on lake wallenpaupack? i'm headed up there this weekend with some friends but the boat has to stay home, anyone know of people who ride up there?

Jim - I am good to ride Sun morning. We can use my boat if you like...it is stored in Boardentown.

Tim - I want to go out Sat and Sun morning 7 or 8 AM...need riders or jumping on someone elses boat

Alex - can I join you on Sat if I don't find riders?

Ryan: I'm going-out Sunday for a fast half day, and what began as managable three-rider rotation has bulged
to a five-rider rotaion. Thus, this Sunday's dance card is punched and full.

Saturday, sadly, I'll be behind a desk from 8:30 'til 4:00. Brother, the worst day of hanging-out
at the boat ramp, skimming rocks and just waiting for a pull is always better than the best Saturday
sitting behind a desk and staring at a computer.

Greetings from Idaho and The Sidewayz corporate offices! The Boise Transgression premiere was last night and it
was pretty amazing. At the last minute the originally booked downtown Boise theater fell-through,
but Ronn was able to secure the use of a downtown Boise minor league hockey arena instead and it was SO cool.
Killer stuff was raffled, Transgression was even MORE amazing than the New Jersey 1.0 version, Randall was
there, Gator Boards super-talented wakeskater Matt Manzarri was there, six or seven local shops were there, probably
close to 800 people came, and ALL profits from the night went to a local six-year-old girl battling cancer.
It was an amazing thing to be a part of, and I ultimately ended the night with a couple of Coronas and
an OpusX. I'll be back on NJ ground around 6:00pm on Saturday, and on Sunday I'll be changing the prop on the
Super Air. See everyone soon!

WOW! What a surprise! Went down to B-town to meet up with Woody and jetpilot Scott and who comes rolling in but Justin Stephens and his film crew, shooting the latest film "Push Process" sponsored by Oakley.

Riders on hand were George Daniels, Amber Wing and Keith Lyman! It was wild to see a wakeboard film being shot right here in Bordentown! Got to chat with Amber and Keith a little bit too, very cool people!

Can't wait to get this film which will be out sometime in November. Look for their big ad in the new Alliance Wakeboard magazine.

Woody had his camera, so I'm sure he'll be posting some pics soon.

BTW, we just returned from Brostock on monday, great time there as well. Even got Shawn Watson to sign my board!

Hey Mikey: I have a house a little south of your girlfriend, in Manahawkin. As far as I know there are
no ridable lakes in the area. I used to ride in the bay, but now I tow to The Delaware River. If you're in the
area and looking for a pull, there are usually people right here on this thread (myself included)
looking to fatten the crew. Just post when you're looking to go out.

Hey Jason: Thanks for the heads-up on the Oakley crew. I heard they filmed on The Navasink on Monday and on
The Delaware on Tuesday. Hopefully it all went well.

Here are a couple of my pictures from a day on the a water in Idaho.

To get to this lake we had to tow up a narrow dirt mountain road with no guard rail a sheer cliff drop.

The family and I went out on the river today. The water was horrible so we pulled into the cove and threw the anchor. The kids swam for a couple hours and went ashore to explore for a little while. After the water calmed down we went out and did some tubing then some boarding.

We were about to leave then we saw the film crew that Dave spoke of yesterday coming out again today. We pulled out of the channel and watched for a little bit. They came over and thanked us for hanging back and not screwing up the water. My daughter likes Amber Wing and got to see her in person and say hi. We watched Amber Wing and Keith Lyman ride and they were awesome to see in person.

Cool picture Dave. I wonder though, how team Oakley found its way to Park Street and the Bordentown ramp.
Here's a general question (I think I know your response Michele): Is it cool that more and more wakeboarders
are "discovering" Bordentown or does this cause a loss of its specialness? Are we spreading the word too much?

Chris N: Thanks for following my Idaho posts. To answer you question, I'll be back on the river super early
this Saturday. If you'd like a pull behind the Super Air let me know.

I can remember the days of MAYBE seeing one other wake boat on the river and I could put money on it the it was usually George or Woody.

Recreational water sports have defiantly picked up in the last couple of years and there is also a noticeable increase in Wakeboard and Fake-board boats (thanks for that one Connor).

I don’t think it has lost any of its charm. If anything it has become something more special to me, considering some of the great friends we have made there and being able to see the community grow right before our eyes.

Not quite sure if the place is on the map or not but considering the success of the Wakefests, positive feed back from visitors, and now a film crew showing up, you cant help but get the feeling that it may not be far off.

PS – awesome looking spot in those photos Alex.

It was definitely a cool place Eustace. If you're familiar with the Sidewayz video HYPE, the "Parks in Idaho"
section was filmed at this lake. It's called Arrow Rock.
