Hey Creative people out there. I am starting a new business and I need a logo created.

I figured there are a lot of talented people on here so I thought I would create a logo contest.

I will give $100 to to the person who's logo I will choose to use for my new business.

First off the company's name is : Elite REO Specialists

I want the logo to be somewhat simple: maybe an outline of a home with the name above below or integrated into the Outline of the home or a combination of all.

Maximum of 4 colors but no minimum.

Looking for Simple but creative!!!

Other than that I will leave it up to you.

Hopefully this will work. I will make the final decision on Friday of this week and announce it here. Once I pay the winner I would like if you could send me a JPEG of the rendering so I can get it digitized for Embroidery and for Business cards and signs.

Thanks guys

I design logos, but I charge $250... feel free to PM me.

If you'd like a reference, ask Ian at OnlyInboards, or I'd be more than happy to direct you to some of my work.

FYI - For the $100 (you're offering), you're going to probably GET a jpeg, however you're not going to want to send a jpeg to any print company. If you do you're going to get prints back that LOOK like $1...

For business cards and/or embroidery you're going to need a 300 DPI high res CMYK vector graphic setup with the proper margins and bleeds.

OK my bad I didn't mean to set off a string of thread slams...

In all seriousness EDoubleU don't just go blow $100 for some HS kid to send you a jpeg of a logo. Its just going to be a waste of money.

Allow me to offer a few more pieces of advice.

1.) ask for a high res vector
2.) ask for correct pantones
3.) ask that the file be setup for print
4.) ask that its been separated for the printer properly.
5.) ask for the correct fonts

If you have more questions, waterskier AT GMail DOT com

Correct. And all of that will cost you more than $100.00. Hell, some experienced freelancers (not agencies) charge $100.00 an hour. So a great designer will spend anywhere from 6 hours or more on your design.

If you can get a good idea for a logo for a $100, then more power to you.

Its officially winter time! Man everybody is so cranky around here. Instead of slamming the guy for trying to be creative with coming up with his business logo why not post something to the effect of "if your contest doesn't work out I'd be more then happy to design a logo for you in the $250 range as thats what I do professionally"

Don't just slam the guy! If I new how to design logos I'd give it a shot but unfortunately I have a hard enough time typing!

I'm sure some college kid would like the challenge and $100 is better then a poke in the eye! Good luck on your new business venture!

With almost no experience designing logos and no computer skills to speak of I knocked out my first attempt at creating a logo! I realize I went out side the line in a few places but not bad for a first attempt!

I'm not greedy just donate my 100 dollar fee to the charity of your choice!

Theres allot of blank logos on the internet you can play with and tweak to your liking! I think my second attempt is even better! I can't believe I never played with the Microsoft paint before this is actually fun! I can't believe people get paid to do this! lol

I reckon he has got at least $US100 ( around $AUS13.50) worth of advertising already.

Thanks to everyone who e-mailed me their versions as well as the ones who posted them on here.

We have decided to go out and use a local Graphics company to do our logo as well as our print advertising. Some of the logo's that were emailed were really close to what I was looking for but in the end like many of you suggested , we are using the professionals to complete our entire marketing package.

Thanks again

I thought the REO Speedwagon logo was awesome. That would have been my choice.
