Is it worth 300 - 500 to put a heatercraft heater in my boat? I have a hotshower for coming out of the water but staying warm in the boat would be nice. Any one know of any discount ones avalible? thanks

i'm working on making a diy heater. I'm hoping to be able to do it for under $150. I'll post up here when I'm done with it

If you've never had it, you won't miss it, but once you have it you won't go without it.

I'd say it's worth the money.

Another vote for the heater. We live & ride in WA state & will ride in dry suits at the beginning & end of the year. The heater & a pair of blankets keeps everyone in the boat happy while the rider gets his fix!

I put one in before my boat ever got wet.
The second one went in at the end of the first season.
You're at high altitude. You are going to love having one. (at least)

882001 is right ~ Depends on where you live and ride.

My boat came with a hot water shower that I have never used in ten years...

I live down south where it's warm most of the time. I bought a boat from the northwest with a heater and shower. Never use the shower, use the heater ALL the time. I'll always have a heater on my boat.

I live in the Dallas area, so it's not real cold here...

That being said, I still am having a heater put in my Enzo. I had one in my last boat and it had several benifits... The first being the chicks LOVE it. At the beginning and end of the day is when it really pays off.

It's so awesome to be able to wrap a towel around yourself and put the hose in the bottom of the towel... It surrounds you (and who ever else you might get under a towel with) with warm air...

So, to make a long story short... If you can, GET ONE!

The only option after ballast that is an absolute must have. I ordered my x with 2 sets of 2 outlet heaters. Guaranteed good times for all both early and late in the season.

Sorta depends on your water/air temps. The delta water went through two in my boat. Each was used once or twice so I now have no heater and I don't miss it.
