Just curious if any of you have taken out your wakesurfers into the actual surf? There's a whole group of guys in san clemente and malibu that use a winch(1000 ft of rope) and go out on surfboards, wakesurfers, and skimboards. It looks like alot of fun. They edge out to where the waves are and let go of the handle on skimboards and wakesurfers just like you would behind the boat but thier riding full size waves on little boards doing skate tricks down the line

Yes we do it all the time with the winch at the jetty's in venice, fl. Also I have video of me surfing my wakesurfer yes a skim style board in 6-7 ft hurricane swell out past the end of our jetty's I will try to dig it up and post. You should see some of the looks you get when you drop in a 6ft wave and do a big 360 shuv re entry into the wave. The old dudes love it....
