Starting on my ws420 install tonight and just wondering if there are any definite Do's or Don'ts. I've read that the headunit needs to have any of the built in EQ function turned off or turned to flat any thing else?

Got it all installed and it sounded pretty good for about 1.5 hours ( got a little bit of engine noise )then it blew the inline 2 amp fuse. Replaced the fuse, blew it again after about 45 minutes. I guess i dont have it all grounded and terminated properly?

Now I have a dead short. Looks like it'll be a fun evening with the meter or just run a new power line. DAMNIT!!!

Had to remove the EQ, couldn't find anything wrong. Pops fuse on the bench hooked to battery. Sending it back. Hopefully they can get me a new one soon.
