im completely new to wakeskating, never tried it before, i've got shoes i just need a board im 6' and about 150lbs. i don't want a "beginner" board, would rather have "advanced/intermediate" or somethin along those lines. also, any advice from gettin up, to throwin tricks would be great

If you don't even know how to get up why do you need an "advanced" board?

probably because he thinks he can pick it up quickly. maybe wakeboarding/skateboarding background. and maybe he doesn't want to have to buy 2 skates in one season...

cuz i wakeboard a lot, and ya, i skateboard, i also don't want to have to go buying 2-3 boards (for each level) i started on a "pro" board for wakeboarding

no wakeskate is too adavanced for anyone like how it is with wakeboarding. boards just have different shapes of concave and little features like that so people can get exactly what they want. you will just be buying a board blindly but its ok because nothing is goign to be too crazy, unless you get a catalyst.

I would suggest a griptape board ranging from 40-42in (105-107cm). Foam is nice at first but gets old fast.

id suggest getting the Hyperlite catalyst 112. It'll last you, the rocker pattern and rail is forgiving enough, the board can take a beating. Plus you have a little more surface area for getting up and learning tricks. Best part is you never really need to upgrade bc unless you can rip as hard as brian grubb your not riding the full potential of the board. You can pick them up for like $50-$100 used depending where you look.

Check out Level 13 boards. They ride way more like a skateboard on water, rather than a wakeboard without bindings. Sweet concave, wood, can get grip or foam, pretty small (easy to do flip tricks, shuv-its etc..) and just a sweet all around skate. I've got a L13 superstar, and I highly recommend, especially if you want a skateboard-ish feel.
