Looking to try fins when riding in the salt. My board didn't come with them. If you do, give me a price. Thanks.

I think I have a set out at my storage. I'll be out there tomorrow. If I still have them, they would be the bigger Absolute fins. Would that work or were you looking for the smaller ones?

What ever comes with it, but as small as possible. For some reason, it's a real pain in the ass for me to ride it finless in the salt unless the conditions are perfect, and I live in SD, so... Thane, thanks. That pic has been at my parents house forever. I just got a scanner not too long ago. Shows you how times have changed!

they come with two sets. One is like a .4 and the other is a .7 or something like that.

JRod, Got a pic? I might take whatever Blabel doesn't. Would they fit on any CWB board?

The Platinum comes with a .7 and a 1.35 and the regular core comes only with the 1.35 - I have the larger set and for some reason have lost one of the smaller size ones. I'm dumb at times. Haha .4, i'd like to see that.

really the two sizes are .75 and 1.3 but who really cares... right? Blabel ~ I also have the 1.3's if you want them. Sorry but I am not parting with my .75's

oh yeah, I'm way off. 04 came with .75 and 1.3. So 1.3 is what I would have for you. They will not fit any CWB. Prodigy and Transcend have a different type of fin. I think they would only fit the Flame.

I need something to fit an old CWB Spyder. I thought all fins fit all boards?

The Transcend has a shaped fin as in the inside is flat and the outer edge has a curve. The Prodigy is weird because it's the Capped Fin system. These Absolute fins would probably fit your Spyder. The only thing is that with Aluminum it sucks to get them to fit the board they weren't designed for. You want your fins to be flush with the bottom of your board and if they aren't, a fiberglass fin you can sand down, with aluminum it becomes a little more difficult. If there's a gap between fin & board it creates air bubbles(cavitation) and reduces the effectiveness/tracking ability of your fin. (Message edited by stephan on August 04, 2005)

if it's a fiberglass fin, and it doesn't have enough curve you're screwed. If it has too much curve, you can still put it on and it might conform to the contour of the board. I know Liquid Force does this on purpose to make a flush fit. With aluminum fins your screwed either way. Maybe that's why Liquid Force doesn't have Aluminum fins. But they sure do look cool!

Not screwed. File or Dremel and a vice. My composite/aluminum fins didn't have enough curve. I filed out the center to make them sit flush.
