what are the pros and cons of each board and can you get the lf armada with grip

well those are 2 completely different boards. imo the Vinyl is basically a heavier better looking Catalyst 2.0 and I don't know a whole lot about the Armada but personally I would pick the Vinyl over the Armada. If you can demo either board I would definitely do it

I know a lot more people that ride an Armada than I do that ride a Vinyl if that helps but imo the Vinyl is a better board but that's just my opinion . . . What do you ride now ?

just curious is there any specific reason you want a composite ?

my scape started comming apart so my dad said lets up grade you to a composite board and he really likes hyperlite

personally I prefer wood (hee hee yeah that's right) over composite. Don't judge all wood skates on your experience with the scape alone. It's all personal preference some swear by composite some swear by wood. The scape is a flat deck isn't it ? Have you ever tried a wood concave ?

Call me crazy, but I prefer a composite board. I rode the Armada all of last year, and it is a very good wake to wake board, but I wasn't feelin' it out in the flats. I'd look at a Ronix Zariel, that's what I upgraded to, and it's friakin' sick.

Carson, if youre in the sac area i have some boards i can let you try out. most shops dont demo skates and almost none demo wood skates. we should ride someday. i live in vallejo.

also you should check out the next norcalwake.com convergence. its an all wakeskate free ride event at camp far west in october.

Hey Carson.
I got an Armada about 3 months ago. I too have been using the Scape for the past year as my main board. The Armada has def taking some getting used to. The built in fins/channels was the major hang up i've had. Like Caleb said out in the flats its not as awesome as wake-to-wake. I still use my Scape more than the Armada. As far as ollies go it seemed to pop the same for me as the Scape, the Byerly skate has proven to be the best board i've ollied. (Also own but never gets used... can't seem to let go of the Scape).
