Just a quick poll - How many need 10' extensions or want a mainline that is 90' long with a couple of 10' take-off loops?

Why not just use 2ea. 5' extensions? What if someone wants to ride 85' or 95'? Or 82.5' for that matter. JMO - No need for 10' exts, 5' is working well. May even be worth looking into 2.5' extensions.

I agree with TB, I have never needed a 10'er. What I have a problem with is that if you need additional extensions, they are expensive. I cant understand how a 5' extension is $20 when a rope with extensions is $80.

Byrd - I've solved the expense problem by running over the main line, then purchasing a whole new line and keeping the extensions from the old one. Can't lose...

Seriously I have friend that swear by using 1ea. 5' poly e take off (from an old ski rope, the stretchy kind). They say that there is only a slight amount of stretch in 5', and that it is less painful to the arms/joints on tricks where you get jerked on landings (tantrums).

Jeff, that's funny... I actually remember buying another extension for a rope way back when. Now days I go through so many ropes that I've got extensions everywhere. Either they get run over, left on my boat or just replace at start of a new season.

In terms of 10' takeoffs, I kinda think it's a waste of time. There aren't that many people out there running 90'+. Even at 80' it's just a 70' mainline, a 5' extension and the 5' of handle.

It's all about the 2.5' extentions. Thats why I like the catalyst line (Grubbs) rope, every wake boat is different, as well as the amount of weight in them, so it makes it alot easier to find the right length with shorter rope incriments.

Only the mainline is needed behind my sweet Bayliner 175xt. I have quite a collection of extesions, probably have enough to peice together another rope, no need for that though. It would make for one crazy looking rope with all the different lines and colors. HaHa
