I’m thinking about taking my boat to lake Travis for the first time in the next month or so. I have been out on Travis with a buddy a couple of times but I know next to nothing about the lake. So if anyone has any suggestions/ warnings associated with lake Travis that would be helpful. Also what public boat ramps, and camp grounds would you suggest using.

What is splash day? I looked up pace bend it looks legit how quick to the rv spots fill up? Can you still bring a camper and just run a generator if all the spots are full? Im not sure I want to leave all my stuff in a tent while out on the water. I would feel better if we had a camper to lock up while we were gone but thats just me. Thanks for the help guys

another cool option would be Mona's- Willie Nelson's old spot a little upriver from where the Perd dumps into the Colorado

Since the lake is full you don't have to worry about "Sometimes Islands" but as the lake drops beware of where you are if you're in the area.
